This is our main work, whether these are people who are lost in the mountains, in a forest, or who need medical care due to injury or illness. We also provide a lowland search service Our Area including towns and villages, for example in the case of a missing child or adult. We also help the other teams in the region.
As well as basic first aid, many of our members have studied for a specialist qualification to provide advanced first aid to our sickest patients. There is also an experienced paramedic on the team as well as three doctors.
Technical rope rescue is challenging work that involves significant training, specialist knowledge & equipment. We have a number of busy climbing areas within our patch including the Tremadog crags.
The team also provides a specialist water search & rescue team to respond to calls within our patch or across the region as required
Sometimes humans aren't the only ones in need of our assistance!
The team trains regularly every week. There are also special sessions to cover skills such as medical care, technical rescue and swiftwater rescue.
